The fabric has a rich sheen to it and both the appliqués and the lace move as you do, to create an overall effect of shimmering movement with every step. The fully lined and lightly boned bodice has a deep, rounded neckline that is edged with a gathered narrow Venice lace, overlaid all around with beaded and sequined lace appliqués.The sleeves are small, capped and edged with the gorgeous wide Venice lace overlaid with a narrow Venice braid and accented with beaded and sequined appliqués. The back of the bodice rounds down elegantly over the bustled skirt and has the wide Venice lace edging that is overlaid with the appliqués and braiding. The front of the bodice come to a V at the waistline and is also edged with the braid and finished with an appliqué. The skirt, which is also fully lined, has beaded and sequined appliqué detailing towards the hem, around the front and towards the back The attached back overskirt is gathered up at the centre and sides to form a waterfall effect that ends in a short rounded train. The train is also edged with the wide Venice lace and is overlaid all around with the narrow braiding. The skirt closes with hooks and eyes at the back and the bodice laces up the centre back to close. White 50% silk dress fabric with acetate taffeta lining.The Venice lace, trims and appliqués are of unknown content.It should be professionally cleaned.This dress was photographed over my large bustle, which is available separately, and should also be worn over a light coloured petticoat.I would suggest long white gloves to complete the look.
