Purchased at Bergdorf Goodman and brillantly maintained, the suit is fabulous to wear today. The black jacket with its defined bust, mesh center (with corset stays) and front bow is so representative of Mugler of the period (late '80s/early 90s). Absolutely brilliant. Style: Gorgeous and hard-to-find Thierry Mugler peplum evening suit. Jacket is tapered to the waist and then has a slight fullness. It has notched collar with lapel, low front with bow in center, defined bust, mesh center with corset stays (gives shape and style), zipper close, 3/4 sleeves with three buttons on each. The peplum couture style is in vogue right now....Chanel is showing peplum jackets in its current collection! Skirt is straight cut, starts at the waist and has kick pleat in back. Fabric: No fabric tag.
