I threw caution to the wind and used only the best supplies to bring to life my vision of the ultimate Little Bo Peep costume. And while we won't be keeping this one, I will treasure these priceless photos! This listing is for the complete Bo Peep set, including the luxurious satin dress, bonnet, pantaloons and flower-accented shepherd's staff. NOTE: The pluse lamb seen in some of the pictures is a family keepsake, and is NOT part of the auction. First the dress: I used high quality satin, not the cheaper costume satin they sell for Halloween. The bodice has a white satin insert that is criss-crossed with blue satin ribbons. The skirt has 90" of blue satin for maximum twirling action! (My Katie is wearing her petticoat slip under the dress. You will want one too if you want the same fullness. Most of my customers keep one on hand and they can be purchased on Ebay or at many local department stores.) The skirt splits in the front to reveal yards of tiered white eyelet lace. The effect is stunning! The dress ties in back with white self-lined satin sashes. Since they are self-lined, a finished edge will show no matter how you tie it! Next come the pantaloons: They are finished with 2 additional rows of the same eyelet lace that is on the dress. The effect is a seamless cascade all the way down the front of the costume, just as I envisioned! Next, my favorite, the hat. It is covered and lined in blue satin and is edged in a narrow eyelet lace that matches the edging on the wider dress lace. Wide ribbon ties provide the perfect finish! The sides are accented with flowers to match the staff. Last, but not least, is the shepherd's staff. I would not do this costume until I found the right staff. This one screws together in sections for easy storage. Also, you can use it full length as pictured, or you can remove sections for smaller Bo-Peeps. It is accented with a multi-loop bow and blue flowers. I can do this costume in pink, but it is more of a dusty rose shade than true traditional pastel pink. (They recently made changes to this line of fabrics and for some reason that color was the one in the line that is now slightly different. (The blue you see pictured is still exactly the same.) If you are planning ahead, I could send a swatch. I can send a picture, but sometimes it's hard to tell from a photo. I have sewn this costume to the same exacting standards as all the dresses I sell. The bodice is fully lined and all seams are sewn and serged for strength and a professional finish. This is definitely not your typical Halloween costume quality! I will sew this set for the winner of the auction in a custom size, from 24 months to girls size 10.
