It was made in the late 1960s or early 70s. Handmade in Mexico. All the seams are hand leather laced in cognac brown leather. The jacket color looks like black, but it is actually very dark brown. The leather is super soft, supple glove leather. Coat is very fitted at the waist. Buttons are handmade leather. Size is marked 6, but runs more like a 4 (my display torso is about a size 4, and the coat fits it well). I cannot guarantee fit, so please go by the measurements. Bust is 32 inches, waist is 28 inches, hips are 35 inches, sleeve length is 22.5 inches, shoulder to shoulder is 15 inches, total length of coat is 54.25 inches. It is in very good condition having been around 40 years or so! There are a few surface rub marks here and there, like near the pockets at hips, the edges of the sleeves, the bottom edge, and a few areas on the lower portion of the coat. There is a small light spot (a cluster of small dots) on the right shouder/sleeve area. None of these things is major, just consistent with having been worn. It is fully lined in rust colored taffeta fabric. Lining is in very good condition as well. There are just a few lightly soiled areas near the bottom portion where footwear would have bumped it once in a while. There is a tiny ¼ inch snag in the lining near the label. Overall it is a beautiful, striking piece of wearable art, as far as I’m concerned. You won’t run into someone else wearing the same coat! From a non-smoking home. SHIPPING IS WITHIN THE US ONLY.
