Attention: we have been told the fan is not ivory but some type of carved bone Thank you. This wonderful early fan is decorated with a hand colored scene of a lady with two gentlemen in the center. It also has a portrait of a lady on either side, one holding a dog. It is highlighted with gold gilt designs and has an bone frame. The lower part of the slats are decorated with openwork designs, along with silvered birds. It dates from the mid 19th Century and measures approximately 20 inches when open by 10 + ¾ inches tall. It is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photos. Shipping, Handling, and Insurance Charges will be paid by Buyer.
