This plume is one of the few made - in the most coveted material MATTE CROCODILE NILOTICUS (as denoted by a double dot).This hard-to-find bag is Rouge H in color, Hermes' most classic burgundy red color and complemented with gold hardware. Rouge H is such a neutral color - it can be worn year round and matches practically any outfit - from black to brown to grays. It is also versatile enough due to its size and material to be worn from day to night. The plume is lined with chevre coromandel - goat skin, as with most Hermes bags. The interior features 2 small slots on one side and a bigger compartment on the other.This bag is so rarely seen on eBay and much less at the Hermes boutique! Can only be ordered these days as perfect crocodile skins are scarce. It is much harder for Hermes to make matte croc bags vs. the "shiny" ones since "flaws" are more readily apparent in matte crocodile skins. Matte crocodile bags are also more expensive than their "shiny counterpart". Matte crocodile plumes retail for over $20K, that is, if you can find it. CONDITION: This plume is USED but in superb/excellent condition. The handles show some darkening due to oils from handling. There are some minor scratches on the bag - I have tried to capture them on the photos. The corners show what appear to be wears but are most likely just the ridges of the crocodile scales but I have taken photos of these corners in any case. Overall condition is Very Very Good. Please note that photos are taken with a 10x zoom lens. MEASUREMENTS: The bag measures 11cm wide, (28cm) 8 inches high and 4 inches deep.MARKINGS: The plume is marked Hermes, Paris, Made in France in gold in the interior of the bag. It is also marked with I inside a box and the craftsman's signature is 14M This bag will come with the original sleeper bag.
