See more about 'ANTIQUE Micro Beaded Carpet Fringe Purse Sterling Frame' Description A beautiful rug design beaded purse, in excellent condition. 19 beads per inch across, 20 beads down.... 380 beads per square inch. The only repair needed is the fringe at the bottom, a gold strand and a black strand need replacing. It is a very easy fix for someone who has the right sized beads. The rest of the purse is in near perfect condition for it's age, with no wear to the lining, and I see very few beads missing from the body, scattered empty spots, where one would be, for instance, 3 separate gold ones missing, along the single lane border of gold beads. Then there is another area, of 2-3 navy beads missing. Canvas is showing. I am not getting anal about it, as the purse is in very strong shape, and these seem to be missing, from mistakes that the maker of this purse made. If I miss a few, it is not intentional. The loose threads that you may see in the photos, are likely the left over thread, that has come out, from behind the beaded body. They really should be tucked back under the beaded body, with a beading needle, which I will attempt to do, when the purse sells. They are about 1/2" long. The body is secure to the frame. The frame is gold plated or gold gilt over sterling, and there are 2 sapphire stones in the kisslock clasp, whether they are glass or stones, I do not know. The colors are incredible, being black, navy, green, chartruese, turquoise, gold, red, orange, and salmon. The translucent beads are beautiful, and the only opaque beads are the black, navy, and gold. The frame measures 7 3/8" across, 2" high. The body of the purse measures 7 1/2" wide, and 7" long, adding a 1" fringe, and the frame, making it a total of 8 1/4" long. Chain is approx. 16" long.
