However these jackets are meant to be worn slim like motorcycle jackets so they are cut fitted. If you want some room underneath for a thicker shirt or a lighter sweater, I would go one size down. For example, if you typically wear a 42 suit, go with a 54. I am a size 42 and the 54 jacket fits me ok with a bit of room.
